IP68 Sealed Connectors from PEI-Genesis
New from franchised assembling distributor PEI-Genesis is the Amphenol Barracuda range of IP68 sealed connectors, which have been specifically designed for use in harsh industrial applications where water, dust or spray may be present.
Fully RoHS compliant, the connectors are available with PEI’s market-leading 48-hour assembly service, which the company achieves by carrying vast stocks of piece-parts and by building its own customised production machines to automate the connector assembly process.
The robust Barracuda bodies are moulded from glass-filled nylon, and the connectors come in 3-way, 4-way, 6-way and 7-way versions, each of which can be specified with pin or socket screw-terminal contacts made from nickel-plated brass.
Suitable for cables with outside diameters between 6 and 8mm, the connectors can be supplied in three styles - in-line plug, in-line receptacle and panel-mount receptacle – with dust caps available for all. Operating temperature range is specified as -40 to +110degC. |
